It’s congressional complicity that makes it all possible, and in a certain sense legal. The constitution has a remedy for an out of control executive, impeachment. That’s just not going to happen with the congressional make up as it is. The american people have the power to change this - they won’t.

Bellicosity doesn’t win wars nor does it endear your struggle to the public at large.

This is where actual law enforcement is being complicit. They are allowing bounty hunters to snatch off the street, pull out of cars, smash car windows, etc… of people who have NO public warrants for their capture or arrest!!! They are allowing kidnapping.

When Vance’s supporters see the black woman mayor of LA being upset and angry, they’re going to love him even more.

Corruption and grift … is anyone surprised? This is how America works now.

Has never been closer doesn’t mean they are close … weasel words and our press are incapable of asking the appropriate follow-up questions.

This is crazy because we know Trump doesn’t read and his brain functions as that of a 4th grader, incapable of abstract thought. Incredible that this is who the country voted for to agin be POTUS.

Maybe the pastor in question actually follows the lessons of the new testament and is therefore an enemy of this state!!

I mean this in the name of self-preservation and improved mental health. I don’t mean this in the sense that I think it’s right or proper — but for one’s own sense of well being.

Doctors need to make new diagnoses that are treated with the medications being prohibited for existing specific diagnoses.

Yes, it’s hate based politically motivated legal decision making. When will the freedom loving side start winning elections again to drive the nation in a different direction?
comment in response to post
The courts decisions are politically motivated, hence the lack of consistent guiding principles.

Militarily - the real American might (apart from the technological advantage - which is awesome) lies in the administration and management structures that controlled the military without political influence coming into the decision making surrounding the execution of war.

Incredible that a seemingly intelligent (though evil) human being has cosplayed an ignorant idiot for so long that he’s become an actual idiot in real life.

Highlighting the targeting of law abiding defenseless people by ICE. If they had been targeting gang members and hardened criminals, we would have daily reports of shootouts between ICE and the gangs.

Probably not … all anti-Trump voters are alike; every pro-Trump voter likes him in their own way.

Corporations have always been more important than people for the post-Eisenhower Republicans.

They will use this for therapy now and in 2 years people will wonder why suicide rates are increasing and no one will think it’s the AI chatbot because the AI will not take responsibility.

Most of the patterns recognized by AI in our data are specious associations with no real meaning or insight. A whole industry is being built on such a flimsy foundation that the collapse of 1929 will seem quaint in retrospect.

You know what happens to dictators AND their crooked families when they lose power? I think you’re going to see a reconning when this is all over …

It was not a matter of computational power, but a fundamental problem of mathematics and physics that makes it near impossible. Now, this was before quantum computing etc… so maybe it’s possible nowadays, but it won’t happen by building a better algorithm.

There’s no depth of understanding to anything in the discussions surrounding AI … maybe I’m too much of a sceptic, but having read everything could about AI in the old days (20-30 years ago), I came to conclusion that true intelligence paired with a conscience would not be possible.

Much of human endeavor is so nuanced that it can’t be broken down into a set of algorithms for AI to automate.

Biggest lie pushed by those in the AI industry - people who will be replaced by AI will not be missed. However, humans perform in ways that cannot be quantified. This unquantifiable, unmeasurable activity is being ignored. The cost of discounting this activity will be awesome and catastrophic.

It’s not about erasing history - it’s simple white supremacy and racism!!! “erasing history” - the type of language that George Carlin warned against using.

What’s with the “Barbie” digs of the women in this administration? As far as I can tell, Barbie™ was for women’s empowerment and women’s rights in general.

Anybody with THAT kind of smile is an evil piece of shit. He’s the one that would have been ushering in the prisoners for “a shower” at the death camps, with a chipper attitude and pearly whites smile.

Seems to me a poor way of ensuring the long term safety of your nation … hope that the rate of your technological progress allows for continued population control and regional hegemony. Eventually your existence is going to depend on mutual goodwill and respect.

This is what happens when corruption becomes the norm at the top. The behavior seeps into all aspects of behavior. This guy made a few extra bucks and decided to cheat the system to avoid paying his fair share. The problem lies in “fair” share assessment … there is no fairness is a corrupt society.
