He has the platform and the name recognition, let's see how it goes

This is the good-is-the-enemy-of-perfect political conundrum. Harris and the Ds didn't support Palestine enough in their eyes and Trump lied to their face. So they picked the guy who did the Muslim ban before. I have no solution for this.

Lots of capital sitting on the sidelines right now waiting for the all clear sign.

Feels bad to laugh at the video but my gosh, wtf is going on with the proximity sensors on these things?

The Trojan horse article names are further proof that not many people actually read any news past the headline.

Lol, Trump loves to say this stuff would never happen on his watch but Bibi knows that the TACO bet is the smart bet. Trump is weak and Bibi knows it.

Thanks for clarifying because I was actually thinking of the blind dude who could rip on guitar.

Whew, good to know. He's been such a peacemaker in Gaza and Ukraine so far. We are only one security briefing away from Trump solving this conflict.
comment in response to post
Lol, Trump is not the peace president your rag makes him out to be. Look at every conflict in the world since he took office. Worse, all of them.

Sorry Tom, this is the year I'd actually like to see Canada take the cup but you'll probably win again.

I just used them a few times on a very recent trip to CA. First, they are not more expensive, they are cheaper by at least a third and sometimes more. It's an option I'll utilize whenever possible going forward.

Who knew that if you raise taxes that the government would raise revenue? Trump has raised taxes on consumers more than any single politician in our lifetime.

So take the good with the bad and stick around. The community is broader and better informed with you posting here.

What a deal! Tariffs in January were around 8 to 15% depending on the item being shipped and now they are between 30 and 55%. Is this the art of the orange king deal?

I just don't see what the market does, I see a small chance for one rate cut late this year but even that number is going down with Mr.FlipFlop in charge of things.

Costas is great, wish his HBO show was still going but the man deserves to rest after 40 years in the ring.

Same here. I hear a lot of, "I can't stand him personally but..." then followed by some line about he's a master negotiator. I wonder if any of them even know what negotiating is.

I just don't understand the point of saying that different social media sites are different. If you like X, it's there for you, if you like BlueSky, it's also there for you, if you like...

I think America has learned in the past. Unfortunately, the lessons of history must be relearned from time to time and the unfortunate part is that we have to live through one of those times. We have 3.5 more years of this and we're already to this point, 4.5 months in.

The Atlantic has been simply outstanding for as long as I can remember. Do any of these people actually read it before stating their claims?

Would be nice to expose the inner workings of the labor pipeline into the judicial branch. But these guys will make nice again by the end of summer. The judge confirmations just started last week in the Senate so they both need each other, especially now.

Hard to figure out how to feel. On one hand, if the files were released and big politicos were in it the fallout would be tremendous. On the other hand, we would then have 25% of the country loudly proclaiming the behavior is completely fine.

Do what you gotta do to beat the MAGA swamp monsters.

Dems need some fighters and dirty tricksters and the Rs need some people that actually care about governing. I don't think the current political alignment can or will hold. The Ds will look and sound different in 2028 or 2032.

No doubt, at some point down the road you can't just take the data back. That database will have been copied multiple times within a week.

Can't wait to see if Walmarts Q2 report mentions staffing levels for the remainder of the year and next year

I think we're in the midst of a political realignment of sorts and that the current D party will not look the same by 2028/2032.
