Elliot Coleman is a market farmer in zone 5 Maine, and probably the best all round book on growing veg at home is the four seasons cookbook. He is super into this.

There's a lot of temptation to try to maximize production and efficiency, but from 20 years of growing things, I can tell you that the most important thing is that you grow things you like and that your household actually eats.

But thinking back, it had to be at least 2006 when I started, and according to Wikipedia, it has been open (to anyone) since 2006.
I just saw the date it started the export at, and just assumed that was my first day.
