Musk didn’t buy Tesla. He led its first big investment in 2004 and became chairman. In 2007, Eberhard, one of the two founders, was ousted by the board accused of mismanagement. Musk, Tesla’s largest investor, played a key role. He became CEO in 2008, solidifying control.

Fair point, but for me, supporting a company reflects my values. Elon’s beliefs clash with mine, so I won’t ignore that. The car’s great, but principle matters more.

I really really want to sell my Tesla because of Elon, but I can’t right now. But I will as soon as possible. The great tragedy is that Teslas are still the best EV around for the price.
