It is! The ALT text has the info on the specific image. I even did a matching one of Hubert based on the companion image of Batman!

To name a few...there is Vincent Desiderio, Steven Assael, Paul Fenniak, Odd Nerdrum...and that's just barely scratching the surface.

So in regard to a question you asked about "why don't we see work like the old masters?" Well, there actually are quite a few painters these days that are working in that vein, they're just not considered "cutting edge" by the establishment.

If it’s the one I’m thinking of, it actually doesn’t matter what gender Byleth is. I think it’s during their B support…

...and now I realize I hastily read your post as "your FAVORITE S-support" as opposed to what you actually wrote, which was "FIRST S-support"...so, in order of when I first completed them: SS: Bernadetta CF: Edelgard AM: Dimitri VW: Hapi...I think. I didn't get Hubert's till my 4th time thru CF.😅

Hubert, mostly for this exchange, since it indicated that the writers knew anyone who got here with Hubert has to be down reeeaaaaaal bad for him….After that…I’m gonna say Manuela.

According to Hubert, the Empire actually does control western Faerghus at the beginning of CF.

Sorry you're going through this. @lovelyillustration.bsky.social and I have been big fans of yours for years now. I've certainly had my share of shitty comments when I've posted my work on the Fire Emblem subreddit, so I feel your pain. You don't deserve it!

One problem regarding Hubert: In part 2 one of his crit quotes is already “There will be NO mercy!”….That being said, “Don’t waste my time” suits him perfectly.

...Thank you, that means a great deal to me. I put a great deal of time and thought into these pieces, it is fulfilling to see them appreciated.🙏

What I think people don’t get about Hubert is that he’s not GQ-underwear-model-handsome or George Clooney handsome…He’s Vincent Cassel or younger Lambert Wilson handsome…which to a number of people is like cocaine-laced catnip.

Finally, I would also like to thank my friend/Mentor for lending her tailoring skills in putting the costume together. Without her, I doubt I could have brought this painting together, at least not to the level I had envisioned for it.

I’d like to thank my sister Liz for being the model for Edelgard and @lovelyillustration.bsky.social for twisting my arm into playing the damn game…as well as for her continued love and support.

In fact, I figured I was well past the age to ever be enamored by a video game ever again. Three Houses just seemed to be the right thing at the right time.

I had this massive preamble in mind about how much FE3H has influenced myself and @lovelyillustration.bsky.social lives since she made me start playing it five years ago but for now I’ll just say that I haven’t been this captivated by a video game since either Jet Set Radio Future or Metroid Prime.

This has been my major project over the last year or so, although its roots go back to about 2020. While I had aimed to have it completed by 3H’s 5th anniversary, everything always takes longer than you hope it will.

Inspired by this pair of images by Jim Lee.
