Succinct bites of wisdom, insights, advice, and motivation. We're an informal group of volunteers who believe in the power of human effort over wealth. Since 1990, we've been making a real-world difference.

George was so cool as a person not just an artist. I once asked him which of his artworks was his favorite and without needing to think about it said it was inking the pencils of a comic book artist he admired as a kid. He really LOVED drawing comics which was why he always drew so much more details

Work is work but it seems too often to be needlessly harsh which is why this post resonates with so many.

And to you as well Eileen.

I, a fourth volunteer that occasionally attend to the account, don't have much time availably, so have been trying to recruit some help but don't have it yet. I did post a JFK quote today and the account might post more quotes until we get the designer more of our text.

A third person, with our encouragement, is focusing on a project to force more attention on the slavery and genocide committed by the Chinese Communist Party and stop the international corporations that are benefiting from it. (We will announce it when it goes live.)

Thanks for asking. Two of the people who operated this account are separately dealing with heath matters in their families that make them no longer available to help.

New favorite meme. I am so hard core that I am crazy level disturbed that a font was used instead of hand lettering. What kind of comic book fan are you that you would spoil the image by using a font instead of hand lettering text and scanning it in and adding it that way?

At that moment Todd was the hottest thing in the comic world. The only other person I have ever seen with that level of excitement around them was Quentin Tarantino when Pulp Fiction first came out.

I first met Todd when he was a few months into the Spider-Man title he lunched. A few years later, when Petter saw Todd’s signature on the cover (Image was at its hype zenith at that moment) Petter yelled for all to hear, “This is the book that turned McFarlane into a star and I wrote it.”

If you read comics in the early 1990’s you almost certainly read works by Peter Allen David. Quite a prolific writer.

Have a copy of that Hulk 340 that was signed by McFarland on the cover and David on the inside. Gotten by attending different local conventions, years apart, back in the 90’s when it wasn’t cool to do so. The book, which like the rest of my books I will never slab, remains a gem in my collection.

Respectfully recommend adding the medium, the dimensions and year, else it would seem to be algorithmically generated.

Based on multiple tests and data points, it appears that once an account reaches a certain threshold, the proportion of followers who see its posts is significantly reduced.

Even if you believe this to be true, it would not mean that you yourself can not assign a purpose for your life and, respectfully to all, choosing the accumulation of money as it's purpose would just be sad.

Thank you. You might enjoy some of our past post as well.

We are some of the people who are working to disrupt this by empowering people. Just read our name.

Respectfully, killing a person who is not actively endangering anyone, in an intentional and premeditated manner, even if that person is a mass murderer themselves is still, is still killing. bsky.app/profile/huma...

? Respectfully, fail to comprehend how your last comment is in any way related to our previous exchange. If you mean that all sides did not recognize that certain decisions directly led to people losing jobs as an example of the full truth not getting recognized please communicate it more clearly,

This advice came about as a result of seeing how aid provided during a temporary time of need would meany times destabilize the local solutions and industry thus leaving the local population now totally dependent on outside aid.

Looks like in the example you provided both parties are either ignorant of the full truth or deliberately prioritizing which truths are more pertinent than others. If you’re not acknowledging your opponents truths then you’re not really interested in obtaining the full truth, just in “winning”.

Whenever there is a disagreement on the truth, it is certain that at a minimum one party is either ignorant of the full truth, stupid, or deliberately lying.

Respectfully, the past of slavery and segregation have demonstrated, that it is easily possible to have a democratic republic without an acceptance of the truth nor an equal application of human rights.

The truth is one of the prerequisites for a good democracy. It is possible to have an evil and/or dysfunctional democracy having access to the truth is a way to help prevent it.
