They had to be pulled up manually with ropes. However, it is not known what happened to the bow section left on the ground.

If Souya is written as Soya in the standard Japanese romanisation, the translation website renders it as Daizu. It is Soy!

#NavalHistory 2nd attack by midget submarines (31 May - 1 June 1942) On 5 May 1942, British troops landed in northern Madagascar, then French territory. The Vichy French forces on the island continued fighting until 16 November before surrendering, but the real fighting lasted only the first 3 days.
