This fandom has become highly toxic. It was always a little clique-ish and toxic from the beginning, but now it's insane.

Yup, he's supposed to be Muslim. Apparently, it's a big No-No.
Basically, in order to marry the woman he's with, he had to take up their religion, or the family wouldn't accept him.
