Imo I'm no character designer but there's a really good test you can do, I call it the rock test You should be able to pick one feature from your character that you could attach to a fucking rock, and someone who knows your character should be able to go "that's an X rock"

Opinion; Guardian's Steel Guard should just become a baseline mechanic in future soulslikes. Maybe not exactly in its state in Nightreign, but it should just become core

Imo, give each team a separate night 1 and night 2 boss in different places on the map, and then night 3 you share the same boss If you beat your boss fast, you could go after the other team while they're still fighting theirs :3

If they ever wanted to add PvP to Nightreign, I would want it to be similar to Grief in zombies except you can actually attack the other team Imagine two teams on the map, both after the same nightlord, but also actively trying to kill each other

Playing Recluse is like actually fucking amazing dude The mental juggling of mixing up all your spells and your teammates damage to get the essences you need for a spell, into timing the spell perfectly, it's legit euphoric
