For the first time in 28 years there isn’t a cat in the house. Feels very strange. #petloss

Hop on a train in London, sip a coffee, watch the countryside fly by— 6 to 8 hours later, step off in Barcelona, Frankfurt, or the French Riviera. No airports, no hassle, just seamless adventure. Maybe one day but not as soon as all the news articles want us to think. #HighSpeedRail #FutureTravel

France shows faith in night trains with a tender for new cars to re-equip its Intercités de nuit. But types of accommodation (couchettes? Sleepers? Mini-cabins?) unclear. www.businesstraveller.com/business-tra...

While exploring Liverpool Central Library, I came across a bust of Sir Ken Dodd. It had been a few years since my last visit, and this was my first time seeing the sculpture. #mobilephotograhy #blackandwhite #liverpool #sirkendodd

Our break in Llandudno began with some wild weather. It wasn’t as intense as the storm from the previous week, but it certainly made for an interesting and memorable walk. #travelphotography #northwales - - - - An Windy Morning On West Shore Beach | JoMo Unscripted johnmorris.name/an-windy-mor...

This morning featured a couple of coffee stops. We began at Pressed Harington, a juice bar and café, where we enjoyed a skinny latte alongside breakfast. Later, we made our way to Wild Root, a plant-based café, where we ordered different drinks - an oat latte for me and coconut latte for her.

It’s another cold day, but we wanted to get out of the house for a while. Unfortunately, there aren’t many coffee spots within walking distance, so Dunelm it was. The coffee and sandwich were simple and unremarkable but they were hot and filling—just what we needed on a winter’s day. #coffee

It will be interesting to see how this looks when it’s finished and whether they decide to build more than one. #merseyferry www.liverpoolcityregion-ca.gov.uk/news/mayor-r...

As of a few weeks ago, the Interrail/Eurail Rail Planner app now shows platform numbers and real-time info for several key operators, a great step forward!

A little fun in the snow. #lifein360 #snowday

Changes to Nightjet planned from 7 April: Amsterdam-Innsbruck/Vienna becomes a new-generation Nightjet. Double-deck sleepers disappear completely, replaced on Zurich-Vienna & Zurich-Hamburg by Comfortline sleeping cars. Last 3 months to experience the double deckers!

Black and White sunrise at Burbobank Beach, Crosby.

We kicked off New Year’s Day with an early trip to the beach for our first walk of the year. After being thoroughly windblown, we were in desperate need of a hot drink. We had hoped to support an independent coffee shop, but it seemed most were taking a well-earned break to start the year.

Starting the year right with an early morning walk on the beach at Burbobank. Pity the sunrise and weather didn’t cooperate. 😟 #coffee #beach #newyear

If only it were possible—I’d love to begin my journey right from my local station in Liverpool. Perhaps one day, all the pieces will come together, and this dream will become a reality.

During our recent visit to North Wales, we found ourselves returning to Botanical Babe Plants and Coffee multiple times—and for good reason. Each visit was a delightful experience, offering a perfect combination of excellent coffee and a warm, inviting atmosphere. johnmorris.name/an-interesti...

While Mrs. Jomo was off doing her thing, I decided to head out on a quick adventure. I made my way to Llandudno Station to catch a train to Betws-y-Coed. Thankfully, the rain held off, leaving me with some stunning scenic views to enjoy along the way. #travel #takethetrain
