ถ้าไปไล่ดู “ชื่อเก่า” (ที่อาจไม่ใช่ชื่อดั้งเดิมแต่เคยเรียกเช่นนั้นตามที่พวกเจ้าอาณานิคมเรียกไว้) จะพบว่ามีชื่อเมืองที่มาแนวๆ New xxx อยู่เยอะ
