Don’t forget that how “news” is delivered to people will help them form their ideas. If you are told that Elon has saved tax payers billions, it doesn’t matter if it is true as long f as you believe it is true. This is the reason they want to defund CBC.

Instagram itself has said that reels get more traction and will be pushed ahead of static pictures. The platform is basically saying that photographers won’t get good engagement.

I can't wait for the Bond Extended Universe, the weekly Bond TV series about Young Bond, and American Bond who is way less woke. /s

FYI, it is rarely about the current salary (that certainly looks good for headlines) it is always about the other stuff, benefits and pensions. Certain governments would rather pay extra for private 3rd party support than internal support because they don't have to worry about health care etc...

I guess the only issue is if natural gas means also a major infrastructure refit, because then we wouldn't want another refit for many years. The lesser of 2 evils is definitely better, and probably the best we can do for now.

We had these issues with Harper and Parks Canada. He fired 1/3 the staff and the sites couldn't deal with things like ticket taking or clean washrooms. It was a mess.

Fox will show up and he will be totally happy.

It is mediocre as of yesterday. Some bare pavement but lots of ice patches. If you have aggressive tires it should be okay.

Could we get those cool 3D posters like they had in the Mall in the 90s?

Consider that the Conservatives plan is to scrap CBC in an effort to control the narrative. If you were an opinion related talking head, you may be trying to hedge your bets to find work if PP get elected. Shameless? Yup.

Halifax has joined in and switched to ice.

I was amazed at our poor guy. Many put their green bins out overnight and of course they put them right in the sidewalk. Well, he would get out and move them all. I thought he would just pull onto the road and go around.

Chances are that unemployment won't be a federal offering the way things are going.

To be fair they were part of a group that helped win WW2. Russia probably did the bulk of heavy lifting and the Commonwealth (especially UK and Canada did a massive amount).

The CEO is still reliant on the stockholders, who are currently backing DEI.

Costco makes deals that switch all the time. Right now it is Visa for you, in Canada it is Master Card, previously it was AMEX. At least in Canada you can still use a debit card as well.

We have a speed bump that creates a dam. I’ve been picking away at it and I had spent time before the last freezing rain set in doing some work. It was tough.

Seems like a great place to be.

Chain of Lakes Trail is impassable except with studded shoes or maybe a fat bike.

Sadly on street parking prevented the plow from doing a good job and thus my street has huge ice dams.

Sadly the speed bump has created a dam and the drain is on the other side.

I often pull out my phone, and stand by the plate while pretending to call 311. I never bother calling 311 because they won;t deal with it in time.

Bay Rd into town is mediocre at best. Chain of Lakes is decent.

Is Frozen Yogurt still a thing? Am I too old? The Mall and a frozen yogurt cone was a great Saturday for me.

I can dress for cold. I can't dress for hidden ice. And while I could add studded tires, I do want to get home in a reasonable amount of time. Those things are heavy and sluggish.

Minerals add to conductivity but are not necessarily bad. Most tap water (either well or treated "city water") will have dissolved salt/minerals because A: They are essential to life B: they make water palatable. Do not use equipment to prove a point that the equipment isn't designed to prove.

I just don’t understand why capitalists are so against it. Why limit your clientele? DEI leads to bigger markets.

Windows 98 was 27 years ago. I'm pretty sure I never thought of anyone that was 27 as old.

honestly it is a perfectly useful drug when used correctly. So maybe our hospitals get a nice free supply from the USA.
