So um, I’ve got my issues with how Jon Stewart handled himself during the prime Daily Show years and especially with how he’s handling himself now, but this thing in this screenshot is a bugnuts crazy thing to say.

I'd love for people asking "what are you gonna do" to answer their own question. What do you guys think Schumer or Jeffries are actually able to do? What secret "stop Trump" button do you think they've been sitting on this whole time?

"Several Democratic officials who supported Biden for years told CNN they have had, at most, passing conversations with him. Others say they’ve been amazed how completely he’s disappeared." I probably wouldn't be all that eager to reach out to people who stabbed me in the back, either.

In this instance I stand with the loud voices on Bluesky - fuck "top democrats". If Biden wants to rub peoples' noses in it he has every right and the moral high ground to do so.

When Bernie fails to get this guy out of detention, will the "Dems Should Do Something" folks finally admit that the minority party doesn't have the institutional power to do the things they keep demanding of them? Or will the blame the DNC for not "supporting" Bernie or whatever?

Serious question: are they using these rallies - especially the ones in red states - to register people to vote?

In 12 months when people like Ted "Theodore" Logan here start complaining about Democrats being out-raised and out-spent by Republicans in key races i hope everyone reminds them about the months they spent shitting on Democrats for fundraising.

What is it that folks think Democrats have the power to do that they’re not doing? Seriously? Dems don’t have the power to do much of anything because the public did not vote to give them that power. There’s no secret trick that they’re sitting on or a magic switch they’re failing to flip.

Criminals deserve due process because due process is literally how we determine whether someone is, *in fact*, a criminal

American citizens are being disappeared to 3rd world countries and simpletons are running around talking about Harris working with Cheney…who had enough sense to vote against the orange demon. STFU!!!

The important thing is, he got a lot of good ratings out of shitting on the democrats and creating a permission structure for people to "both sides" their way into staying home.

You know what’s funny? The number of people who- correctly- are posting that we need to get a handful of Republican electeds to side with Democrats to affect any change, but when Harris campaigned with a Republican to illuminate just how dire felon2.0 would be these same ppl were against.

I’m so glad you asked. That’s not sarcasm. When folks run around exaggerating and shitting on the party it causes some voters to tune out or disengage. Even worse…”both parties are the same” bs takes hold. Long story short…it’s disinformation and not helpful.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

Why? Why is this surprising? It's exactly how his willful and wide-ranging ignorance was covered during his first term. It's how it was covered during all three campaigns. Why is it surprising that American media covers him this way?

America has jumped the shark.
