Holy cow. Over 300,000 submissions on the Treaty Principles Bill. With submissions re-opened for 5 days, has a good chance of beating the previous record for number of submissions on a New Zealand bill by 200,000. (For any of my international followers, NZ's total population is around 5.3 million).

That was one of the more spectacularly uninformative press conferences I've ever seen. We're going to spend money on ferries but we can't tell you how much. We're going to spend money on portside infrastructure but we can't tell you how much. It will be cheaper but we can't tell you how much.
