The reason they were so adamantly against it was that they were afraid it would actually work / be popular.
Which would set a bad example that policies that might actually help not-rich people are actually possible.

What this idiot (@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social) does not understand is that "Intifada" is a generic / translated term for 'resistance'. OR he is purposely misinterpreting Zohran's statements in service of his masters in the capitalist class.
It doesn't matter which is worse.

Bill Clinton can still not be bothered to speak up about the national American police state.
The threat of a big city mayor making rent and bus rides affordable is a fucking emergency.

I also prefer Star Wars comics to the movies and Episode 7 is my favorite of the movies.

I don't think I totally get what people like about these "comic book" movies though. I've seen most of the MCU, and some of my favorites - Iron Man 3, the Dr. Strange where he turns into a zombie, Eternals - are consistently listed at the bottom whenever I check out one of those best to worst lists

Also, isn't this information available via FOIA?
I mean, I could find out how much the people who work at my local library make if I wanted to.

There's the Torrence car wash video where the woman says "You're not ICE, you're bounty hunters". I think this may be correct. If Trump keeps to tradition and doesn't pay these guys, we may get some public testimony soon.

There's a video circulating of a woman at a car wash in Torrence getting rid of the kidnappers and calling them 'bounty hunters'. She's probably right. Also, good luck to these guys collecting their bounties from Trump:

You will be glad to hear that coverage of the protests takes up more than two pages out of eight in today's New Mexican.

I don't know about you guys, but at my house 'kitchen table issues' are like "should we see Thunderbolts and Sinners in the theater or wait until they're streaming?" and "why do these stupid MFers keep talking about 'talking about kitchen table issues?'"

The master of expertise scolding all you fucks who don't realize that WW2 trench warfare and Democratic House primary elections aren't exactly the same thing.

I'm curious, how deep in these "trenches" do imagine people like Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, and less recently Diane Feinstein are?
Also, is challenging someone in an election because they seem ineffective "shooting" them in your analogy?

Hating JD Vance is the most relatable thing about Donald Trump

"JD Vance" is going to be like "Hannibal Hamlin" as in
"There was actually a vice president named that? Huh."

Trump does this thing where he pretends to be self deprecating, but we're supposed to congratulate him for alluding to the fact that he might have a combover.

I'd be interested to hear Marco Rubio questioned about this.
Marco has lectured us repeatedly about how "my parenths came to thith conthry legally tho I have no thymapathy for thoth who exploit our thythem to come here illegally."
Now we're kicking people like his family out of the country.
