Guess we're out war with Iran since all Vance does is lie to our faces thinking he's smarter than he really is

Pretty sure he was always that way

So tired of this gerontocracy controlling the future of everyone 50 and below. We see it now in real time but history will be dating to a bunch of these folks

Ukrainian war and how its reported by certain outlets really gives away the game of who they really support in the grand scheme of things. Not sure how anyone could side with the side bombing civilians unless there was $$$ involved

I agree. Build from the bottom. It's happening but isn't an overnight thing.

If you're talking about thst one child that was separated from their father and mother I read that she was reunited with her mom on Venezuela. But if you weren't... then I don't know. Sad that there's so many examples that could fit the situation though....

Take heart, Classy. It maybe ugly in the short term, but long term I believe the republic is rejuvenating. MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THE GLORY

Yes, exactly. To me it's kind.kf baffling how this hasn't permeated through more people and still so many prominent accounts posting over there. Money talks I suppose

So grateful @meidastouch.com and @acyn.bsky.social are around at this time to host and post clips like this of talking DIRECTLY to the mayor of LA. Not some short 5 minute clip we've been used to seeing on corporate media. People want clear and honest reporting and that's what they show
comment in response to

Yes, all of them. Especially Vance. That chucklefucks downfall cannot come soon enough. Don't forget the broligarchs on the far right that helped enable this all too. If we're going to truly rejuvenate our republic it needs to be done to a maximum level

I wonder when the states step in to offer their boards and recommendations at this point. Or even an organization of states to pool resources together.

Beshear is great about keeping a message straightforward and simple. Millions are spent every year by Dems on consultants and the answers to winning back rural voters have always been what he's talking about here.

I'll never understand why prominent media and political figures still use X. Was really hoping to see more of an exodus after the inauguration and the first few weeks but seems like most folks stayed put. Pretty obvious at this point the amount of bots and awful stuff on there compared to here

He is, at his core a populist so at least recognizes the position of the middle/lower classes in our economy.

For sure, and that's by design too I believe. The big thing to still consider is DoD leadership is a disaster with intra admin feuding. Add in a weak justification for martial law where ppl were hurt by poorly trained ICE agents and to me, I don't see any sort of unified front to support ML.
comment in response to
post
Yeah, I don't disagree that they won't impose it, well TRY to at least. I think a lot of it will depend on what the flashpoint is for justification and as we've seen with the deportations under the AEA it was bs reasoning from the start. Without broad and clear public support, good luck.

He can declare martial law but enforcing it is another thing

Anybody else feel like the whole purpose of this "golden dome" isn't necessarily protection from an outside missile but a way to suppress the whole continent?

Doing the fight chant with his fist, the way the blood is smeared on his face and then the "perfect" photo shot..it all seems awfully convenient. Have to acct for the Trump supporter that lost their life there and then the question: is Trump cynical enough for someone to die to add credibility?

Can't both be true? I very well could've and should've put evil in my description but also he sounds completely detached from reality here, which hasn't been uncommon for a long time

Mainstream press always passing this as "Trump being Trump!" When that's always just been a senile old man rambling
comment in response to
post
I think that's the main issue, Bidens senility was hidden from voters. If the biggest celebrity Dem Clooney is coming out and saying he felt misled by Bidens condition than clearly there was some purposeful obfuscation done. Doesnt matter now
comment in response to
post
He clearly could not successfully attack Trump for all of those things you listed. It shouldn't have been that difficult to beat Trump with all his baggage yet, Bidens role in the last election did help enable his victory. I don't think history will be kind to his presidency
comment in response to
post
No, I'm not claiming that. I'm claiming that by strong/consistent polling of his age being a neg factor, hindering a campaign by withdrawing late after an awful debate and criticism from a lagging econ/handling of Gaza, Biden did Harris no favors for winning.
comment in response to
post
Correct, but the VP from his administration was and rightly or wrongly the electorate linked them together for a lagging economy amongst other things and that did more to hurt Harris chances than help them
comment in response to
post
Why is it impossible for both things to be true? Bidens age was an issue for voters even in 2020. It was only going to get work as he got older into 80+. US democracy is made up of millions of low info voters so simple things like a candidate being viewed as too old matters.
comment in response to
post
Was that picture taken during the 2020 presidential campaign when they were both candidates? Because if so, it doesn't really prove the point you're trying to make I think
