Federal spending of $6.75 Trillion is roughly 23% of US GDP. Even when spent on "Waste", it is money that flows back into entities who then pay their debts and expenses to other entities who then pay their debts etc. etc. etc. Changes in spending should not be taken lightly.

Getting ready to head to Celebration of Life for a former co-worker. Reading her obituary, I find that we share the same doctors and our daughters ended up at the same college. We were not close friends, but the convergence of a small world is not lost on me.

If I was on a board of directors and the current CEO was off working some other job, I would really ask if I was getting my money's worth out of that CEO. Take that however you will.
