My specific pet peeve is when people call monster tamers “pokemon likes” when Pokemon wasn’t even the second game to do the idea, let alone the first, and hasn’t really innovated in the genre. Pokemon is popular. I love it too. But it isn’t the entire genre. it’s reductive to say “Pokemon like.”

I beat beastieball in the most intense monster taming battle of my life. This is the pinnacle of monster tamers. Monster tamers are my biggest fixation but truthfully most of them aren’t good. They tend to be budget titles, amateur, or just flat out uninspired. But this one is really special.

Druids make some of the best villains in #ttrpg games. They bring animals, plants, and elementals, all with a ton of variety. Druids act as masterminds, tanks, and casters. Thematically they have a ton of range in motives. You can throw in some angry nature spirit, or some fairy stuff too.
