If I marry my daughter's boyfriend's mother (who is amazing) and become his mother-in-law AND his step-mother then I ALSO become my daughter's mother-in-law and my now-wife becomes her son's mother-in-law. Very Jerry Springer but also I don't know if I can be trusted with that kind of power.
