Attending #MATSUS25 in beautiful #Sevilla! @nanoge.org @titiricigroup.bsky.social @ifanstephens.bsky.social

The @royalsociety.org should stand up for the scientific community and eject Elon Musk.

Congratulations @mariaescesc.bsky.social! Such well deserved recognition of your countless achievements! I am sure Queen Laetizia was ever so impressed too! www.20minutos.es/noticia/5681...

I finished off yesterday at the Queens Arms at the pub catching up with Soren Scott who has now been Assistant Professor at @ucph.bsky.social for 15 months! Although we miss him sorely at @interfacial-ec.bsky.social, I am so pleased to see he is going from strength to strength in Copenhagen!

We had a fascinating day showing the Faraday Institution leadership around Imperial yesterday with @titiricigroup.bsky.social @jingyuf.bsky.social @lonepair.bsky.social and many more.

Here we relate CV peaks and O2 reduction activity on Fe macrocycles, combining, electrochemistry, XAS and DFT pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

Delighted to be back at ICN2 @mariaescesc.bsky.social one year on from my last visit. Maria has amassed an exceptionally talented team (some new faces, some old friends), augmented by state-of the-art equipment! ¡Gracias por la invitación!

So happy to be reunited with Arthur, my childhood teddy bear for Christmas!

The UK continues to quietly force trans adults to detransition. It was never about trans youth. Doctors in the UK are withdrawing hormones without warning and cutting tags people off even after decades of being on HRT. www.the-independent.com/news/uk/home...

Time to share some of our latest publications: This one led by @angus-pedersen.bsky.social with amazing collaborators like @ifanstephens.bsky.social, Frédéric Maillard and Lior Elbaz looking at ionomer effect on degradation of Fe-N-C. advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/GFWKEZ...

What a fun joint🎄 party @titiricigroup.bsky.social and @interfacial-ec.bsky.social had! Thanks to @craigburdis.bsky.social and Morven for the hard work in ensuring it ran to perfection! Who knew Morven was such a karaoke queen?

Finally!!!

Congratulations to @romaintort.bsky.social on passing his PhD viva with minor corrections! It’s so gratifying to supervise a student who is not only a brilliant scientist, but also kind, conscientious and a pleasure to work with for all of us at @interfacial-ec.bsky.social!

At @imperialcollegeldn.bsky.social we were hugely privileged yesterday to host a talk from @jakobkibsgaard.bsky.social from DTU. We were enlightened about the wonders of mass selected nanoparticles as catalysts for energy conversion reactions.

I hope the EU is able to obluge the government to drop fees as our current pool for funded PhD students is far too small on.ft.com/4eVw15W

What an exciting moment for us all. Outstanding work @jingyuf.bsky.social !!!

Interested in using carbon electrodes for nitrogen reduction? Look no further! Well done Craig!!!

Lots of new people on 🦋 today, so I thought I'd introduce myself! I am an electrochemical engineer + incoming PI at NYU. I combine computational models with 3D-printing and reaction engineering to develop electrochemical systems for environmental remediation and decarbonization. #GreenSky #ChemSky

What a great idea!!!!

I would like to speak up today for the trans community. You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

This autumn is splendid in Vicky Park

For those who don’t know me: I’m an early career metallurgist specialising in hydrogen interactions in metals, passionate about policy, communication and sustainability. Side projects supporting disabilities in academia and EDI.

Thank you NanoGe for a lovely time in Lausanne attending the MATSUS Fall conference, with a fantastic line up of speakers at the #EEInt symposium organised by Mariana Monteiro and Yu Katayama! And thanks again for the treat ChemElectroChem @chemistryeurope.bsky.social 🥳

Well done @angus-pedersen.bsky.social for revealing the role of ionomer loading in degradation of non precious metal catalysts for O2 reduction in fuel cells onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

Want to give a good scientific talk? TELL A GOOD STORY. don’t show the audience every result, don’t give us one slide on every paper you’ve ever published. If I want to read your resume, I will. Teach me something, tell me a story.

Congratulations from afar to @romaintort.bsky.social for winning the best talk prize at #EEInt symposium at MATSUS in Lausanne for his talk on correlating electrolyte and interphase composition to performance in N2 electroreduction!

In this work we demonstrate how Pt with acidic oxides can steer the electrovalorisation of waste glycerol towards lactic acid, a building block for sustainable bio polymers! Congrats to Hui, Mianle and all other co-authors pubs.rsc.org/en/content/a...

It was really great to attend the 'Beyond H2 Workshop' today at Uni of Manchester. Thank you ever so much for the invitation and for the thought-provoking interactions 🤩 I so enjoyed hearing the presentation of my colleague @ifanstephens.bsky.social, whose talks i've been missing recently.

What a great resource!!!

Today’s “Beyond H2” workshop by the Solar Chemicals Network was so enjoyable, covering such a broad range of approaches. Naturally my personal highlight was my colleague @anna-hankin.bsky.social’s insightful invited talk on the practical implementation of solar H2O splitting in S Africa.

No 🔋⚡ELECTROCHEMSKY⚡🔋 starter pack? That's fine, we'll make our own. go.bsky.app/7BokNKP

Incredibly useful list (honoured to be part of it)

Hello Bluesky! I am a prof at the Department of Materials at Imperial College. My research focuses on electrocatalysis for the production of fuels and chemicals. I also dabble in batteries and fuel cells. Here I am celebrating 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ with the Interfacial Electrochemistry Group, which I lead, last June.

I'm looking to grow some connectivity for materials scientists & engineers on BlueSky - if you identify in this grouping, I'd be happy to add you to this starter pack 🧪 go.bsky.app/U5wGm7M
