The real purpose is to cripple government so that when things break and emergencies happen, private enterprise (all GOP donors, of course) swoop in to save the day by doing the essential jobs government can no longer do because of DOGE and other incompetence. It's a cash grab.

Yup. Cord cutting is working for me. I save >$100 a month by not paying for a package of channels I never watch. even better, I'm no longer subsidizing some (like FOX News) that are actively undermining my government. $24 for Netflix ain't so bad in comparison.

China has decades of economic and political expansion. Russia has no manufacturing and aside from fuels and strife it has little else to offer the world's markets. Russia's potential counter to China's expansionism is barely a stiff breeze.
