Student loans are a scam. When I started paying parent plus, I was never offered a plan that took into account my income. I went in debt because of it, I’m stuck with that. Now my monthly payment went up again, although I’ve been paying forever—because, interest. It’s half my wife’s teacher salary.

One year ago, I was paying $188 a month for our family’s 3 cars’ insurance. In December, it had grown to $225 before I replaced our oldest car with a new one, when it went to $358. In one year, it doubled. And I have plenty of discounts. 2.8% inflation is only for our salaries, if even that.

Yesterday I watched “Awakenings” again, because a movie with Robin Williams or Robert de Niro will always be a show, and it has both. But now I have to watch “Reversal of Fortune” to see what Jeremy Irons did to win the Oscar that year, because Robert de Niro was absolutely amazing.
