People are made up of habits and so many of dems are clearly made up of habits of loosers.
I believe people can change but changing is a habit too and these people do not exibit any signs of that particular one.

the ending of season 1 is probably one of the best monents in TV history, and I’m so so happy that s2 stayed on the same level
the only dip for me was s2e8 that follows Cobel, the rest is a masterclass in writing AND acting AND set design

that dance sequence?
we should enscribe it onto a golden record and send out into space to let aliens know what peak of our culture looks like

I want this to be a real rpg so badly.
You’d balance attack and magic with slowly backing away. The cube does not attack, but if it touches you it’s instakill.
Behind you is a pit of spikes.

My favourite cooking tools are people who come up to me in a restaurant and ask me what I want.

Trying to engage with art takes effort, and it feels like we’re all being purposefully turned into mindless consumption bots by silicon valley tech culture. It feels like all around - my friends, my family - are loosing ability to apply effort.
I’m getting a bit doomer-pilled lately.

“Ghost-Trap!!” would be a darker take on Shin Megami Tensei, following a medium takes on cases of vengeful ghosts haunting those who are responsible for their death, each spirit - a variation on a theme of why people get trapped in relationships that harm them.

It was extremely hard to get back into it, I haven’t read for a while. It helped to pick books on topics that are super relevant to me right now and comit to reading just 10 mins a day.

This is what I don’t get - why not do a spin-off in the same universe. You have these rich worlds and millions of writers and artists who would kill to add to it. Why go with copy paste? Money?
Even if you get money it just sinks the brand long term. Disney didn’t get where they are by playing safe

I actually uninstalled and refunded DD2 TWICE. The beginning was just so complicated and so unlike DD1 it threw me off completely.
I installed it for the third time because of this blog actually, and on the third try it finally clicked.

I dove into DD without reading any tutorials. Figuring it out, bit by bit, defeat by defeat, was one of the most rewarding exepriences I’ve had in gaming. The only thing that came SOMEWHAT close is Shin Megami Tensei, but DD still reigns supreme.

Especially in fiction, whenever an author describes “a smile that is too wide” or “a mouth openened in a silent scream” it instantly takes me out of the story.
Feels like a flaccid imitation of a horror movie trope rather than a genuine attempt to scare the reader.

That book was so captivating to read. I think the movie embodied it perfectly, with it’s shaky camera and grit. A shame they changed directors after that and it became run of the mill glossy hollywood movie.

I have contradictory feelings. If they did this to do in-between frames in a way that’s not noticeable and reduces crunch on staff - I might even be ok with it.
But we all know that’s not what corpos do. They fire people and inshittify everything.
