If LIV vanishes, they will.

Tour school post-deal might be the best tournament outside of the majors.

Tea and crumpets afterwards for dinner? Or bangers and mash?

“Round Up The Usual Suspects: The Making of Casablanca” by Aljean Harmetz. Great fun.

I think it’ll be tremendous hockey that comparatively few people will watch. Maybe double the usual cable audience for NHL games in the U.S. The NHL will crow about that but the players deserve a larger gallery.

And here's a surely wildly incomplete list of hockey people in general (including all those Athletic writers, because I'm biased). I can't promise all these people post. But they have accounts, so if you bug them, maybe they'll start posting more often? go.bsky.app/LjTZjAy

All of that would suggest that Tiger had roughly 15 aces as a kid, junior golf, amateur golf, college golf.. But just one in the last 26 years. /end

Both using their own carts, Woods had already swung when O'Meara drove up to the hole, only to watch the shot hop into the cup. "I said that's it. I put a $100 bill on his cart and said, I'll see you at the range later." A week later, Woods shot 40 for his first 9 holes -- then went on win by 12. /7

After the 59, the two were to play again the next day. Starting on the 10th hole and with a bet of automatic one-downs (a new bet starts every time either player goes down a hole), Woods birdied the 10th and then got to the par-3 11th, where he knocked it in for an ace. O'Meara had seen enough. /6

Mixed in there was one at his then-home club, Isleworth. It came the week before Woods won the 1997 Masters. And it came the day after the only time he ever shot 59, which was also at Isleworth. He played both days with his friend and future two-time major winner Mark O'Meara. /5

The 1998 hole in one was the last of PGA Tour aces made in three consecutive years. He had an ace in his very first tournament as a pro, the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open. He also had one the following year at the Phoenix Open on the famous par-3 16th, setting off a delirious, beer-soaked scene /4
