Yes π I've attempted to quit drawing them but can't lah, drawing and making their merch gives me joy, and it gives me greater joy that I can share them with fellow fans. So for them to take that happiness from us, they should be ashamed really.

Add: I know a couple of great artists who quit drawing and making these (overhyped) merch for the hate they've received over the years. Just walk away if you don't see what you like, or commission artists to draw your favourite characters lah

Thanks for this. As a booth artist who sells (overhyped) merch, I wish more people would know that ALOT of us draw and sell these fanmerch because we're REALLY attached and love these series and mostly not for clout or money. It's demotivating when people keep on shitting stuff on our faces :<
