This is the kind of card that would make me want to play Green. Pair it with Gaea’s Cradle, Shifting Woodland, Strip Mine. You name it.

Everytime I watch a short from @veggiewagon.bsky.social and read the comments section, it makes me think when people said “White cards suck” way back when. Seems like it had more to do with people not knowing how White cards worked versus them actually sucking.

Now that early previews started for MTGxFF, here are some things I think we’ll see in the FF Standard set or Commander decks: 1. Party mechanic (or some variation) similar to FFXIV’s party system. 2. Class cards like Paladin Class but in Job form. 3. Battle On The Big Bridge as an actual Battle.

Hey @moxfield.com, while building a Bracket 1 deck using your system, I realize it’s not catching Soulscour. Soulscour should be a Mass Land Denial card. I think you can catch it if your algorithm looks for “Destroy/Exile/Return all Permanents” texts that don’t also contain the word “nonland”.

Also, though I don’t know when anyone would do this, you can’t use LED to pay for Ghostly Prison, even though it is a mana ability. You can activate LED anytime you could cast an instant. You can’t cast instants as you are declaring attacks because no one has priority while you declare attacks.

Not sure if this was intended design, but you can name Sol Ring with Skyseer’s Chariot. It will make Sol Ring cost 2 more to activate. Chariot does not exclude mana abilities unlike Suppression Field. @gavinverhey.bsky.social can you or someone you know confirm this (don’t know who else is on here)?

FYI, you can’t use Radiant Lotus to pay for Ghostly Prison. First thing during Declare Attackers Step, you pay for Ghostly Prison as you declare attacks. This happens before anyone gets priority. You can only activate Mana Abilities at that time. Lotus is not a mana ability because it targets.
