web dev does appeal me, somehow, but i dont think it's particularly interesting, one reason for this is because the industry right now is full of web devs and it just became boring to learn it, but it's unavoidable, so I wanna take a try to be serious again in it.

i dont think it will make that much different like people hyping about it tho. The only difference is that you would have to approach everything in the functional style. OCaml will be easier for a shot, but Haskell is also pretty good.
