And I'm watched from the moment I enter the building until I leave, and if I use a restroom, someone has to make sure it'sunoccupied, as if I'm suddenly going to do something heinous. I am just like, I'm here because my dad passed away and my mom doesn't like to sit alone after 40 years of marriage.

I don't practice anymore, for various reasons, one being im transgender, and it's baffling how quickly people I've known for 30+ years' looks at me negatively changed. The religion and its membership are terribly hypocritical and judgmental.

I grew up as, and technically still am, Mormon, and there's a lot that I see wrong now. You're expected to never have sex prior to marriage, and I can tell you I have seen so many of those marriages fail quickly, because when you don't live with the spouse prior, it's massively eye opening later.
