This is insane, and basically a way to encourage federal workers who support the president to bully those who don’t

Adam Kinzinger on the arrest of a Wisconsin judge: "This is nothing but fascism."

When they start arresting judges we’re all in a lot of trouble

It doesn't matter what the rest of the sentence says, the opening 10 words in themselves are the scandal: "President Trump on Thursday directed the Justice Department to investigate ... "

It’s already a win for Hegseth that the conversation is around if he should resign and not if he should be jailed.

Half of all Americans cannot name the three branches of government, and that information is not paywalled. It's not that hard to stay current at a reasonable daily cost.

On the mark by @radiofreetom.bsky.social : "The vice president might just be toeing Trump’s line, but if his previous statements on international affairs are a guide, he really does seem to have a dismally simplistic understanding of geopolitics." Vance is a simpleton - but a malicious one.

And the hits just keep coming

It’s weird that the Tesla earnings report give every excuse in the book—tariffs! Plant retooling!—but avoid the most obvious problem: The company’s owner destroyed the brand.

It's almost like the GOP and Dems are two different parties and what works for one won't work for the other

Gélineau advanced the term "narcolepsy" in 1880 while de la Tourette described his eponymous syndrome in 1885. "Autism" was coined by Bleuler in 1911, with full diagnoses soon after. But what do I know? I'm not the Cabinet secretary in charge of the goddamn Department of Health and Human Services.

Trump tariffed every country, even penguins, but not Russia. He said it’s because he’s negotiating the wars end. But he DID tariff Ukraine. Hmmm

The Senate seats that the Dems saved even in states where Trump won were gained exactly by appealing to the center.

What an utterly ludicrous claim by the @nytimes.com Left: NYT Right: Reality

This is social media in a nutshell. Someone says “Hey, look at this!”, and a bunch of others are eager to say what’s wrong with it. Sigh!

People want institutions to stand up www.thecrimson.com/article/2025...

I sympathize with feeling fear to do your job but I feel strongly the remedy is to quit your job, not to stop doing it, especially when people rely on you to do your job.

And many are outright geniuses, and engage in more productive activity in an hour than RFK Jr. will in his entire life.

Ed Martin’s appearances on Russian state television should end his nomination to be a U.S. attorney. www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/...

Oh. "This is about whether we have functional constitutional government in this country. If the IRS can go after you because of what you think or what you believe or what you do, we'd no longer live in a free country.“

Skipped the paperwork. Ignored the court order. Broke the law. Ignored the constitution. This ain’t immigration policy. This is straight-up defiance of the rule of law.

Autism is not a disease and these kids are not damaged, despite what HHS Secretary Kennedy says.

This is the kind of thing that, if true, leads to life sentences for treason

If you're a reporter in a White House press briefing as the spokesperson for the government asserts flatly that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a member of the MS-13 gang who's guilty of human trafficking and you sit there silently without shouting out "PROVE IT!" I'd like to invite you to go fuck yourself.

“JD Vance is an asshole” is probably the most bang-on thing @radiofreetom.bsky.social has ever written.

I'm not sure I mentioned this lately, but Trump is a genuinely terrible, shit-tier President.

The United States sent possibly innocent men to a foreign prison without a hearing ... and put a convicted felon who led a violent coup against the Constitution in the White House.

The rest of the world understands what happened yesterday. Do Americans? www.ft.com/content/4c4b...

The constitutional crisis is here. The President is disobeying lawful court orders. His advisors and allies are cheering him on. And Kilmar Abrego Garcia remains trapped in a jail in El Salvador. youtu.be/HGTIELDTHOo?...

1/4. On the White House’s theory, if they abduct you, get you on a helicopter, get to international waters, shoot you in the head, and drop your corpse into the ocean, that is legal, because it is the conduct of foreign affairs.

I would not have predicted that large universities would show more courage than either Big Law or corporate media. Good for them.

“I was just following orders” was not a defense at Nuremberg. And it won’t be a defense in the future here.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
