Every apartment building I've ever lived in (the oldest of which was building in 1974, the newest of which was build in 2016) has made a big point of telling people not to put pizza boxes down the garbage chute because they'll get stuck.

Recently realized I, in my organic dialect, use "dude" as an exclamation, not as a vocative. I'm not calling my interlocutor "dude". I'm saying it the same way some people say "Jesus Christ!" So it indirectly gender-neutral, because I'm not referring to any individual
