Isn’t this just his normal negotiating technique? First shake things up, and then back down and make the real deal he is after. I doubt this is over yet. Hopefully any future cuts to existing programs will be worked out through Congress though like they should be.

Good to see. I believe the rates need to normalize somewhere higher than the lows of the past. I think the rates are still affordable for people buying things on credit, but also high enough to give savers a nice return on their savings accounts. Lower rates will only drive prices up higher yet.
