The bike lane on Vernon St is ridiculous w/ parking now allowed on both sides & congestion from shortcutting during rush hour as our most of the residential streets. This compounded by the lane drop north on Robie for the QEII construction which appears to be for convenience instead of necessity.
comment in response to

Not sure how cost efficient bike lanes are or how well they are utilized but the city could alleviate congestion by coordinating road construction. Currently three east-west routes are restricted. Coburg alternating one lane, Chebucto blocked off and Almond one way east. Is any consideration ?

WTF - King Charles is in Ottawa. Harry lives in California - thousands of miles away in another country. So much for your expert.

The King did not have a say in the invite. He was obligated to do so by Starmer. The King has no say in the matter. He is obligated to host two state visits a year at the UK government's direction. Blame Starmer - not the King.

.001% difference in total vote triggers an automatic recount.

All parties get to witness (scrutineer) the vote counting and recording. Anyone can report any discrepancies/concerns and it will be investigated. I don't think any one incident would affect the outcome. There will always be those who refuse to accept the outcome.

You've got that right. The world has woken up.
comment in response to

It is a nice sentiment but the world has woken up to the fact that the world has become too reliant on a country whose constitution allows one man to wreak so much damage on the world (and its own citizens) - as if it were a chess game.

I don't think Canada exports many cars to the EU. The EU is looking out for themselves. So much for solidarity.

They have rescinded retallitory tariffs and are "negotiating" with Trump. Take it as you wish.
comment in response to

Sadly the EU caved. It is a sorry state when you cannot trust any of your allies. Canada is holding strong. The EU is negotiating. WTF

Yes you pay less. Others loose their jobs. Fair deal.

Icobelli is full of beans. If a 25% tariff on steel will increase prices by 25 to 40 cents - then when you pay $2-$3.00 for a tin of beans, 1.25 or more of the cost is for the can? Sounds like Unico is laying the grounds for price gouging. they are of my list for buy Canadian.

News to me. Canada has not paused retaliatory tariffs. Apparently the EU still hasn't learned.

What nonsense. If you do the math, a can of beans that retails for what - $3.00 --- and the can they are in costs them over $1.25?

Anyone remember the USMCA - the best trade deal ever. ---- Why, if they actually are negotiating with him, .......????????????????? His word is shit.

The contractor has no control over your president and the tax or as he likes to call it - tariffs. The tariff is being charged by the US government and remitted directly to them from the purchaser. The Canadian supplier has nothing to do with it. Do us all a favour and learn how it works.

It ain't going to be that simple. We still remember his first term. We are looking elsewhere. I have to laugh when the US tourism boards look at this as a blip.

It hurts me say it but by that logic you shouldn't boycott any store. Any boycott of a retail store will hurt the the employees. Are Whole Food employees any different than Target's?

Briliant website😅. Nothing there when you hit the tabs. Looking forward to the updated GDP graph in a years time. Is this the best you've got? Kudos for recognizing TD as Toronto Dominion. Canada Goose - a no brainer. Always - Proctor and Gamble - an American company. 2 for 3 - not bad. Keep trying.

You are always welcome. If you are respectful, we're respectful. If you are not, "elbows up". It's Trump and his supporter's we have an issue with. Spout 51st state shit, expect to be spit on.

No disrespect but did you expect it to be come on up - no questions asked? We have our own problems here - even before Trump. Housing is in short supply. Priority is given to those is greatest need & those whose expertise we need.

Okay I see where your coming from now. It's an unfortunate term but for what's it worth for most people know it is Alberta and Saskatchewan being talked about. Eastern Canada refers to Ontario east so. I guess I'd be as upset if Quebec secession was referred to as Eastern secession.
comment in response to

Not sure what spawned this but I certainly don't, nor do I think most Canadians associate British Columbia with Alberta and Saskatchewan. Quite frankly I don't know where this is coming from. Let us know where this is coming from so we can help.

per ctv - "Another charge of counselling others to commit mischief was stayed at the request of the Crown because it was no longer necessary due to the mischief conviction. Justice Perkins-McVey had enough evidence to render a guilty verdict."
