If there was a post hitting bonus in his contract then Liverpool would be broke!

He can say itās not linked to that clause, but it definitely is. Honestly donāt even blame Liverpool for going this. Why pay an extra Ā£5m for a player that youāre already looking to move on at a loss in the summer?

What odds are Leinster defying exactly?

I think it was out as well, but last season we were told on several occasions that the view had to clearly show the ball was out to come to that decision. That angle through the net did not show that the ball was clearly out as you couldnāt see anything!

These last two games are a bad time for Saliba to activate bozo mode. Shocking stuff

Iād do obscene things for us to win the CL, so Iām on board!
comment in response to

I think it could still happen, but it would take something wild like United winning the EL, and Arsenal winning the CL along with finishing 6th

Ok, Iām debating with an idiot here. Carlo Ancelotti, one of the best managers to ever do it, is now overrated because his clubsā owner decided to blow up a winning team to force another superstar in there š Enjoy your evening, cuz Iāve lost enough brain cells dealing with you for one day šš

You canāt personally attack someone that hides behind a faceless account. You donāt exist in reality as you remain anonymous so you donāt personally have to be associated with your awful opinions. Simple as

So teams are now only to be judged by how much they cost? Gotcha. Congrats to the relegated Luton Town team of 2023/24, we didnāt realise at the time that you were actually the best footballing team ever assembled
comment in response to

No, I just assumed (correctly it seems) that youāre a dullard with awful opinions on football š

Everyone is shite when Arsenal beat them, I get it š Already coping by saying every team in the CL this season is terrible, just so you can repeat that to yourself while you rock yourself to sleep in the fetal position if Arsenal win it
comment in response to
post
So by using your argument, I can say that the 2019 Spurs team would have been beaten by a cricket score by the Arsenal team that made the 2006 CL final, since that team was assembled for Ā£2 and a bag of chips? Am I doing this correctly? š
comment in response to

What is your argument here exactly? Liverpool are going to win the league, and that means what exactly?
comment in response to

That Spurs team also lost 13 PL games the season they made the final. 13 GAMES
comment in response to

You also lose all credibility when you start talking about how this is a weak CL season or weak PL season. Just say that you hate certain clubs left in the competition and then Iāll at least respect your opinion
comment in response to

Like I said, thatās a very hot take. Spurs scraped past one good team on their way to that final, and were lucky enough to face an Ajax side lacking critical experience at the top level in the semi finals. It was a good Spurs team, but the following season showed that run was fugazi
comment in response to

We donāt want them to get relegated, sure itās an easy 6 points for us every season!

Yeah thatās an extremely hot take to be fair š

I hope so mate, Iāve gone through enough pain with Arsenal that winning the CL would certainly be a nice change š And I donāt mind Liverpool winning the league next week as theyāre playing against Spurs, so at least weāll still get to laugh at them!
comment in response to

Theyāre called the laws of the game, but I guess thatās neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things. Weāll have to agree to disagree on the tackle but sure thatās no harm
comment in response to
post
Thatās actually Ireland, but Iāll let the insult slide on that one šš No harm in having differing opinions on things as trivial as football when we can still be civil!
comment in response to
post
First of all theyāre laws, not rules. Secondly, why are you suggesting that red cards should only be shown if a player gets their leg broken? Absolutely bizarro opinion mate
comment in response to
post
Certainly not a soft red. As you said the ball was miles away and it was pretty clear that he knew what he was doing. Players expect to get away with challenges like that against Arsenal, so for once itās good to see a player adequately punished for a horror-show of a tackle
comment in response to

Yup, hope that loser enjoyed paying to see his club getting spanked
comment in response to

Fully agreed. In the US you can watch every single PL game on Peacock for like 10 dollars a month!
comment in response to

To be fair these games would have been picked long ago when broadcasters still probably thought thereād be jeopardy in the title race and/or relegation battle, but even as an Arsenal fan Iād prefer to be watching Fulham v Chelsea!

Slot has done incredible work this season. When you look at what happens to clubs when transformative managers leave ie Wenger/Fergie etc, itās hard to get players to buy into a new manager straight away, especially with no new signings coming in with a fresh outlook. Spectacular job & only szn 1!
comment in response to

He seems convinced that Rashford is a centre forward. The man that cannot hold the ball up with his back to goal, something that Watkins is insanely good at. They can, and should, play together with Rashford off the left
comment in response to

Your boys are deserved winners of the title this season. Plus, look at all the English teams still going in the various European competitions, so donāt let anyone draw you into any debates about this being a weak PL season. In fact it might be the most competitive ever (ignoring the crap bottom 3)
comment in response to

Might have helped if he gave him more than 10 minutes across the two legs!

Newcastle - Villa games are just bizarre. You know that one team is going to ship at least 4 goals, but itās impossible to predict who!
comment in response to

Please donāt win the league today. Itās one of the laws of football that the punchline of every joke must be at the expense of Spurs, so you must wait until next weekend to win it!

No, please hold off on winning the league until you boys play Spurs next week. Everyone knows that the punchline to any sporting joke must be at the expense of Spurs!
