Step Right Up is the last popular mod I can think of that felt like it was actually made for the players. A celebration of horror media with phenomenal effort put into it. Wish we could see more stuff like that again 😔

If modders find that stuff fun to make, then that’s cool, but… you rarely see story-centered mods anymore, or mods that are made with the audience’s best interest in mind. It’s kinda sad, at least for me.

The song itself is clearly well-made, I have nothing against it.
But its popularity really says a lot about the current state of FNF modding. The majority of mods these days are self-catering or smorgasbords of ideas. Stuff like 17Bucks, FNF Weekly, and Hit Single Real.
