Watched enough Doctor Who as a child to know that when the people come together, we always have more power than the folks at the top.

As someone who actually is on hydroxychloroquine, I want to point out that you have to get your eyes checked by an ophthalmologist (a medical doctor who specializes in eyes) every 6 months due to the risk of hydroxychloroquine toxicity, which is when you to blind from it can damaging your retina

This is worth a watch. Not so sure about the media, but still interesting. www.tiktok.com/t/ZT2UERVtV/

To my dude friends who are good dudes, this is why I'm just distraught so much lately: "He won’t ruin women, but he will absolutely destroy a generation of men who take his vile messaging to heart." Give the whole thing a read. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...

man, i am fucking tired as hell of hearing people complain about what the democrats aren’t doing. what are *you* going to do? what are *you* doing? do you want to lead or be led?

I knew that a lot of what we separate wasn't getting recycled anymore (if it ever had been) as of a few years ago, but I hadn't realized it was this bad.

@froomkin.bsky.social - I love this idea. What to you think of it? 'An attack on one, is an attack on all.' GIFT LINK share.inquirer.com/WkW2sN

Interesting look back at who our major paper outlets endorsed for president. So, who did most of them endorse? NOBODY. Thats right, with democracy on the line, so many couldn’t be bothered to make an endorsement. Another reason I support independent journalism. www.semafor.com/article/10/3...

My favorite from today’s 50501 March in Boston.

If y’all want this, I suggest you GET ON THE HORN and start directly ASKING for it. They can’t read your mind, and I’m sorry to tell you, but tagging them here isn’t going to get their attention. CALL THEM and ask for this specific thing. It only take 15-20 calls on a topic for them to notice. CALL.

NASA, I will remind you, is <0.5% of the US budget. LESS THAN ZERO POINT FIVE PERCENT. This is like trying to save disk space by deleting a text file when you've got a gigabytes of music you'll never listen to. More proof that what Musk and DOGE are doing is a lie.

I can’t believe the Supreme Court said the president was above the law and now the president is acting like he’s above the law.

It should either be illegal to force crappy music on folks in waiting rooms or we should have some sort of on-demand earplugs to pop into place as soon as toxic earworms start playing at us.

You are not powerless, and he is not unstoppable. Look at, and learn from, the funding freeze and how quickly he was forced to surrender.

nobody outside of the gop seems to have any communication skills

and it would take months, not minutes, to spot fraud.

If you don't think this is serious, then you have no idea what our constitution is about. You don't have to be a Democrat to be concerned about this. The wholesale gutting of our government to include the regulations that keep all Citizens safe cannot happen.

If your senators and rep are Republican you still need to call! They need to hear from you bc otherwise all the feedback they get is affirming Tr*mp. They are required to tally calls from constituents and they DO track for and against and it DOES matter.

Being in a think tank and online bubble causes people to overestimate the popularity of their ideas. You win, and you think it’s because of your ideas, not in spite of them. For instance, it is widely unpopular to illegally cut medical research.

This morning, we won a court order blocking Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, from accessing Americans’ private data. Musk and his DOGE employees must destroy all records they've obtained. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: no one is above the law.

The CFPB is the reason credit card late fees aren't out of control

EEEEEEEVIL.

Under fascism, no one is safe. Universities stayed quiet as the admin targeted DEI & foreign aid, censored research, etc. Now, they face devastating cuts to indirect cost rates, threatening research & operations. Silence won’t protect institutions. It won’t protect people; it never does.
