Love that you pointed out what the Roblox engine is capable of and the best people can say in return is stuff about kids.

Lol. The reverse is also true. Going from the Xbox to the PC uses the wrong aspect ratio.

Gets funnier. If you play it on a PC with an ultrawide monitor... Save your game, and then start it on your Xbox for the first time.. the Xbox now has the ultrawide resolution. Would appear that resolution is in the Xbox save or the play anywhere data.

The issue is the way you're presenting it. Both the action figures and the McDonald's toys. Instead of a "wow imagine if this happened. It would have been cool!" It's presented as something that DID happen.
It's hard enough to discern what is and isn't real anymore.

Robyn. I really hope you read this and take time to respond.
We're living in a world where more and more we have to second guess if something is real or not, and here you are one of the co-creators of one of the most beloved franchises. And whilst you're making some arguably interesting things

There's no point in arguing against anyone who refuses to open their eyes and see that "the emperor has no clothes". Or the guy who loves to pretend he's an engineer has no idea.

Elon fanboys are kind of like this meme.. where if they had even the slightest ability to research, read, or attempt at comprehension... They wouldn't be a Elon fanboy.
Nothing that guy says makes any sense, he has very crappy understanding of the physics/engineering.
He pretends.

It's 100% this... There's no point having the Elon fanboys go nuts. Just not worth it.

Well. Hacker news already called the headline out for being wrong anyhow. Since apple isn't the one adding in encryption.. GSM is. But you know, gotta get them sweet clicks.

For apple, leaving this up to the carrier's to develop was a feature.. if they did it in-house then it would compete with iMessage. This is typical apple.
Also. Here's a handy website.

Just lmao at the idea of Nintendo having a third party store. Out of the three they would be the most reluctant. Whilst I can see steam on Xbox... Even though it would take the shine away from Play Anywhere.
comment in response to
post
I feel that one of the possible bad outcomes here would be that the corner store prices get more expensive. However highly unlikely that would be... Because yeah it doesn't make sense. If they wanted PS/Xbox/Nintendo to open up to third party stores.. then they would have worded it like that.

I had to explain to my wife that there's this "thing" you really should put in front of her url to make some apps recognise that it's a url.. "https://"
She had forgotten what that was..

For me it's that I have so much to do. That I end up spending way more time dealing with anxiety, and then crushing depression that I didn't do everything I wanted. Or that I didn't spend the time optimally.

This is the core idea in the book The Coddling of the American mind. That the amount of news stories about kids getting kidnapped scared parents into keeping their kids at home or chaperoned visits. That because of this a number of issues arose like you're discussing.

Whenever I join a company one of the first moves I make as an EM is to shift any meetings with ICs to the start of the day. Then try and block anyone disturbing them. You want to ask my engineers a quick question? Standup is at 9.15, come join and ask at the end. Otherwise ask me.

This was the worst phase of mastodon... It seems to have chilled off a bit, but gosh it was just so annoying to have to turn off all CW's just because someone gets triggered by a discussion of breakfast choices. So thanks to that, CW's are broke for everyone else.
