The renewal email was a nice touch today. Maybe get your house in order first before I drop £1.2k (again). Caveat: No one is forcing me to watch this crap etc etc.

That makes sense until the weeks we get Jose back, an unresponsive Arteta, Boris Johnson and Jeremy Clarkson. Looking forward to
Julian Nagelsmann for the last two weeks in October though. The ‘what if’ period.

Very good point. Actually not that successful in first spell but better in second. The ‘Reverse Kendall’

An even smaller pool of data (the third and fourth spell) 😂

I mean it’s early days yet (second spell wise for Moyes) and his first spell wasn’t Kendall levels of greatness. I know Poch didn’t win anything but had a few finals, 2nd, 3rd and some major ‘vibes’.

I always find it strange that a manager can manage so many teams over there (Conte = Bari, Atalanta, Siena, Juventus, Inter Milan, Napoli) (Ranieri = Roma x 3 Cagliari x2 with added Inter, Napoli, Fiorentina, Parma, Juventus, Sampdoria) etc. So it's an anonoly I'm not allowing in this discussion 😂

Kendall was my first thought as well. Are there any examples of it working a 2nd time? 99.9% just craps on the original memory.

As a player, you generally get more consistent as you get older. You cut out the silly stuff & know when and where to make wiser decisions to regularly reach the high standards. Maddison still hasn’t done that (& won’t now). Doesn’t mean he’s not great on his day but it’s what’s holding him back.

I see you point, understand your concerns but I’d say (with my knowledge of DK over the last 35 years) it’s 99.9% not that and just him being eccentric or in the Baker Kelly style.

DK can annoy and have some ‘toys out the pram’ opinions at times but in my opinion isn’t weird or problematic. Very Baker & Kelly style. If you don’t have that radio background it would come across as weird I guess.

This. I know DK gets a lot of stick from some on here but Baker & Kelly were very funny at times. Personally I think DK offsets the others really well on the pod & why it’s one of the best to listen to. Passion & Realism/journalistic. I also don’t see why the Yen comment is in any way problematic.

Now there is a name I’ve not heard or thought about for a year or 30. He snake charmed you into a detention. I’m mildly impressed with his work. Also…a day one detention. That is top work my friend.

Love your writing Alan - another spot-on take as per. The frequency of your articles is a barometer to how rotten we are 😂 Meanwhile, the axe is usually set to auto-chop on 'stadium chairman distain' but looks like our Businessman Supreme doesn't know what to do. Genius leadership as always #COYS

Yes, but this time – as there are only 5 (maybe 6 at a push) of them actually out on the training pitch doing the aforementioned training methods – then it’s not considered a majority rules. Very different. Very, very different. #BriefingTheMedia #SeenThisMovieBefore

If this is true then I have ZERO expectations from this season. It’s just a clusterf**k of madness. You might as well end it now. No pressure on manager or above. Lets start again in August. Just do enough to stay up. Sacking him would be crazy and idiotic. #COYS

That said. If we buy at the very end of Jan we know we are in trouble. Saving a few £££ when we urgently need new recruits right now will be telling. Hearing the Sunderland Keeper might be arriving. Will believe it when I see it (probably 31st of January - 8 January games too late)

They won’t though. What makes any of us think they will? It’s a case of do you want to watch a team with Jose/Conte lose eye bleedingly bad in the end or defeats like today. Investment isn’t coming.

That why we go. The hope. The comedy, and the unscripted shizzle.

Same. Maybe Harry Redknapp turns up and we get a cheeky 4-4…but maybe not and you also have to play centre back with Archie Gray, as we didn’t do any business in the 15 transfer days we have before then. Who knows.

Don’t know what you mean Martin. Getting Grzegorz Rasiak and Rory Allen to oversee the kerning development on the new font was a master stroke in communications. He overseas every little detail don’t you know. Not just silver fire extinguishers.

Think we all needed a font to be more adaptable in a digital world. Having the monogram & hallmarks working side by side reminds me of the Toby/Jan days. As for the new colours (Hot Terracotta & Elm Green) they are very supportive. Not saying we will, but I reckon we get something at the Etihad now.

A rebuild would suggest we built something in the first place. Can understand after Poch but ever since then it’s been more of a ‘sort through the rubble’.

Curse of the left wing. Manor last season, Odobert this. What do we do to them?

Uncle was an Oxford Utd season ticket holder. Knew I liked football so took me to the Manor Ground on 22/11/1986. Fell in love with the team in all white as we won 4-2. Probably our best overall season (86/87) in the following 38 seasons I’ve supported/been going. I peaked in my first season #Spursy

If true, we are so predictable. We know what comes next. Same stories. Same BS. Different project. If there are annoyed voices. Drop them. Ditch them. Back the manager, stop doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Ange succeeds in his next job, his successor won’t.

Of course he didn’t. But at the time, a young me was very surprised to get a reply…on headed paper as well!!! Probably dictated something to his secretary who then sent multiple copies to people like me.

We’re a guilty pleasure. Like watching a terrible movie over and over again but loving it because in our eyes it’s a classic/perfection. We’re no Oscar winner. Just talking about us in this way makes me like them more. That’s what they do!!! 😂

It’s always been this way hasn’t it? It’s kind of special, unique, brilliantly embarrassing and so far left of hipster it’s back to cool again. They can laugh at us, but they will never be us. I mean Two Steve Sedgley’s…that’s a niche podcast name, not the front cover of a ‘92 Spurs Catalogue.
