I hope I live to see the day when we can start to rebuild our world again, and maybe do it better next time around.

OK, so there goes 50% of the OSRS player base

I must say, Miller's timing for his "try and assert a police state" move was *awful*. Considering the mass protests planned for the 14th, he's essentially done media for them way better than any of the organisers ever could. He's also played out a lot of the hand immediately available to him

Sorry I'm just learning now that Warhammer is not woke. Trying to delete the fanfics, will be going on a penitence cru... er... tour.

This consistently fucks me up, honestly.

One suggestion: do what you can to build dual power. Form networks with like-minded people, and I'd suggest you do that specifically in your *professional* spaces. Whatever particular skills you have, we will need them soon. Logistics, administration, organisational skills, anything in operations...

This is a defense in depth. We're not trying to stop them hard at the first line: we're applying steady defensive pressure while falling back when needed to preserve our troops and build strength, and turning friction into an ally. These people are not smart: they *will* overextend and fall apart.

I think we need to reintroduced "fucked in the head" as an explicit political category orthogonal to all the others. Like, "sure, they agree with you on every political point, but they're fucked in the head."

I say this as someone who thinks the 10/7 attacks were massively underdiscussed and underrepresented in anglosphere media: this is psychological torture. Making people watch images of atrocities in order to prove a point is torture. No, I do not give a shit what you think about Greta.

hey, i'm on this too. text maia via signal below, or via encrypted email on its site — insiders, hacktivists, anyone with info. please: - use a personal, non-work device - have a name and profile picture that does not identify you we will keep you safe!

Oh, it's me. Well, not really: I don't think that intervention in the first instance was a good idea, nor that trying again would be anything other than a disaster. That said, invading and then withdrawing after twenty years, leaving a whole lot of women and pro-democracy people strung out to dry

I have just been called gay for baking my own bread and growing vegetables while also running Fedora KDE and using UV as my Python environment manager. I feel this is unfair: I don't even know Rust.

Lots of commentary on the domestic implications of this, less on the international ones. Australia is pretty small population-wise. It's much more interconnected than the US. People know each other and in general, people watch the same news. This idiot cop just did an awful lot to alienate...

It’s kinda morbidly fascinating how any sufficiently large and lasting riot and crackdown reinvents premodern warfare from first principles.

Not to be a vulgar Marxist again, but this is what we mean when we say that material conditions overdetermine ideological pressures. However anti-woke he wants to be, taking his troops away from him will consistently lead to him taking the right stance in the end.

Not strictly related to the original post being quoted here, but this is... I'm genuinely lost as to how these authors have created such an effective bubble for themselves that they think everyone else is in the bubble and they're the only ones with objective access to social reality.
