Today on #BetwixtTheSheets, I am talking about the history of the BMI and fat phobia with the awesomely awesome Professor Amy Farrell. shows.acast.com/betwixt-the-...

Well the award for most cowardly, boot-lickingest academic society has squarely gone to the American Society of Microbiology, who has taken down features of various non-white scientists. Absolutely pathetic behavior. Those articles are now coming up as “under review”. Truly sickening cowardice here.

Absolutely. Sick of explaining this to people

As the saying goes, "Fascism doesn't start with concentration camps, that's where it ends"

Literally, WTF!

Reckon this is about the most redundant use of an 'Explicit' warning

In a world full of Elon Musk wannabes, be a Matt Damon.

It's pretty clear the far right radfems and their fellow travelers worked hard to try and disprove alleged ties between the shooter and "femcel" terf users like radfem Hitler. shatterzone.substack.com/p/the-madiso...

“54% of Britons who voted leave, including 59% of voters in “red wall seats”, said in exchange for single market access they would now accept full free movement for EU and UK citizens to travel, live and work across borders.”

Trans people leaving Twitter and coming to bluesky and the transphobes following us.

SMITE!!!

1-1 away to Wycombe That'll do pig, that'll do

Does HS2 have a future? And why does that question hinge on an unseen government document and a sugar mill in Nottinghamshire?

Has any government managed to move an organisation and not had a paralysing brain drain? Met Office & HSE in the UK certainly did

How many children’s lives has the measles vaccine saved in 50 years? Around 90 million. Important to remind ourselves that vaccines save lives ourworldindata.org/data-insight... @ourworldindata.org

Pretty much every other email I get from the Telegraph is about how to avoid tax more effectively.

Glad to now be on here so I can read these great history threads again

Please #repost/#share for the #bees.🙏🏼🐝 This matters. So let’s talk about #honeybees in the context of ‘Saving the Bees’. Let’s cut the bull and cut to the chase as there’s way too much confusion/misinformation out there which is a hinderance to, and detrimental to, genuine bee saving. 1/18

I hadn't realised the LGBA had done this. Absolute snakes. Quite right, Jimmy.

When people tell me 'you have to listen to the voters! the voters are never wrong!' these are the kind of stats I think of.

Good example of what Musk's government efficiency commission will actually be: Elon saw the word "diversity" and his eyes turned red, thus he picks on a highly-trained worker who has nothing to do with DEI, could earn a ton more in the private sector, but has dedicated themselves to public service

This…this is it. In a nutshell, yes.

Because some damn fool asked, here's a thread about Baxter. This was taken on the day I brought home Baxter and threw away all hope of an easy life. Look at him. Absolutely irresistible. And that's how they get you, the utter bastards

I rarely challenge the decisions of JCVI but I really struggle to see the logic of stopping the antenatal vaccine offer with Autumn COVID 💉 campaign. There is good evidence of protection against infection from maternally derived vaccine-induced antibodies in the first 6 months of an infant’s life.
