Botanist here! Cranberries are in fact berries, which include any fruit with seeds surrounded by fleshy tissue — like blueberries, bananas, eggplants, cucumbers, and avocados — but not fruits with seeds inside stones like peaches, or accessory fruits like strawberries. Hope this clears things up!
