Let's clear this up real quick. Jet Set Radio is NOT the same game as Jet Set Radio Future Jet Set Radio Future is also NOT a sequel to Jet Set Radio Jet Set Radio Future is a REIMAGINING of Jet Set Radio. We'll discuss in the episode, but there are A LOT of differences between these two games.

Happy Pokemon Day

The Retro Blast Podcast Episode 44: Jet Set Radio is COMING SOON! Thanks to everyone who voted. "JET SET RADIOOOOOOO"

February 27 is an iconic day in the very specialized genre of "companion" Gameboy games with: Pocket Monsters: Red & Green (1996) Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages & Seasons (2001) BOTH *or all four* debuting on this day in Japan! Time to dig out that link cable and celebrate with friends!

What's your fav aspect of your favorite game and least favorite aspect of it? I'll start with one of my fav games, Megaman 4: Most fav aspect: Memorable bosses Least fav aspect: Mostly useless hidden items

come on, go like the original post lol, you know you want to 💜

Bluesky deserves a little preview of what I'm gonna look like soon, I think... Will share more if y'all hit the like button on this one enough!

I love it here, but holy shit lol

The Avalanche JRPG fans thought they wanted versus the Avalanche JRPG fans actually wanted:

Good morning Bsky! If you had a #snes growing up, what was your favorite game on it? I actually had a #genesis growing up, but often played a SNES at my cousin's place! The game I played the most Street Fighter 2 Turbo. That and/or MegaMan X2. But the SNES had such a huge variety of games!

"A Dream Medium - The Birth of the MiniDisc." The format of an 80s Cyberpunk 20XX future. Manufactured until 2013 with new recordable disks only just ending production this month.

Let's keep the SEGA love going here... Which SEGA DREAMCAST game deserves to get a full modern remake if you could choose ANY game from its entire library?

The NES was my first console and the reason I'm a gamer today! I'll always have a soft spot for it! 💫My TOP NES games that you should play! - Super Mario Bros 3 - Mega Man II & IV - Blaster Master - Rygar - Double Dragon - Legend of Zelda - TMNT II - Ninja Gaiden - Castlevania II - Uninvited

SEGA Dreamcast games just had a look/feeling to them that nothing else has had since. It was just a vibe that's hard to explain and I just miss it so much.

Magic and Mystery in Nintendo Power July 1993... Link's Awakening.

Some of y'all know how much these graphics legit blew our MINDS in the 90s. Wave Race is still a top tier N64 game for me, just good memories all around.🌊

Please see my previous reskeet for why there are red flags with this project with its use of GenAI and a couple of other things, but yeah, old style text adventures are one things that have never gone away. And there are more graphical IF/visual novels than ever. ifdb.org#games

Some of my favorite 90s memories are coming out of Karate class on Saturday mornings, getting into my dad's truck, and seeing a Blockbuster case with a video game he rented for me. I could only play them until Sunday night, but I spent every second trying to get as far as I could. I miss that. 😌

Target has a bunch of Switch games on sale, it's worth checking out your local store. I suck at Advance Wars, but for $17.99 I'll take it and maybe play it next year lol

Taking the fight to the Streets. 👊💜

Good morning, Vampire Slayers! 🧛 I feel like Castlevania has been in my life since I could walk. It's basically a staple video game franchise for me across 2D action, 3D action, and Metroidvanias alike. I think it'll always be special to me. Which Castlevania games do YOU love the most? 🦇

Stand with science. Always.

Do you agree that Final Fantasy Tactics is actually one of the best games in the entire franchise?

ok here's how we bring back Rufus

Libraries and indie bookstores are awesome, contribute to yours, whether online or offline. Knowledge is power, as the saying goes, and there is plenty of power we can all share to enrich our lives!

Right to Repair things to be shouted to the rooftops. You should be able to access any part of your gadget/contraption/computer/tablet/game console and be able to replace it at anytime. If business can't make money because you can repair their things, maybe that's a sign of a broken system!

Bring back physical ownership and give us digital ownership like GOG and Bandcamp for everything, else consumers are being slighted and the future is gonna be bleak

G'mornin Bluesky! If you have a favorite video game series, which is your favorite entry in the series? One of my favorite series is the MegaMan classic series, and I particularly like 4 on the NES!

FUCK YOU

People say a lot of things about the music quality of the Nintendo 64, but the Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire soundtrack (Which is an soundtrack based on/inspired by a book, composed and then adapted to the N64 game) is incredible and you should come over to my house and listen to it with me.
