Yes. The "strong safety net prevents fascism" theory falls apart when half of Europe is dabbling in Nazi-curious parties. We should make the safety net stronger for other reasons but as a strategy to fight the far right it comes up short

Not enough, not yet. Need to win the Senate just as much as the House. That means 4 Senate seats. Just as a rough exercise, taking the 2024 prez election margins, and swinging them 8 points D, means Dems win Senate seats in Maine and NC and that's it. +12 gets Ohio, +14 gets FL/Iowa/Alaska/TX.

Man. If this checks out then Boeing has a lot to answer for--but so does Air India, seems like. Not an aircraft maintenance guy but if several parts of the electrical system were failing, seems worth checking out before you put the plane in the air again, no?
