also what happens when the code outgrows the AI's context window size? you're left with a fragmented, poorly understood system that's even harder to debug or maintain.

Solid advice. I tend to overcommit aiming for 'more', but the pressure backfires. Learning that 'no' can mean focus, not failure.

I also don’t think we’re as bad for the environment as burning fossil fuels. It’s not useless, but right now, AI is being hyped up for corporate gain while its shortcomings are dismissed because fixing them would require fundamental changes. At the end of the day, it’s just a huge function estimator
