Drawing up a faction map as a series of rooms, filling it with interesting and dangerous figures, adding a table of randomized events, putting in a spike trap labeled "intrigue", and calling it a dungeon.

Just read some folks talking about the idea that, say, orcs aren't inherently evil but Grummush (or whatever) has corrupted some orcs. Which is interesting if you think of the distinction between orcs and humans being that humans are still being fought over and orcs are already conquered by a god.
