HELLWHALERS: Book of Leviathan is coming to BackerKit on June 10th! Sail across hell’s oceans. Gamble with souls. Hunt a demon whale. New material for the original #ttrpg of nautical and Christian-religious horror. Follow along and let’s haul this beast up from the deep. ttrpg.link/BoL

the people in LA putting their safety on the line right now to try and stop ICE are the bravest people we have got

You learn a lot making the absolute best, stupidest game you can make and I highly recommend it.

I am excited for this, this looks like a game I would enjoy.

Why don't more adventures have an elevator fight? Love to have a bunch of goons jump onto the elevator I'm riding in waves.

The Flyer. 1/4

Hey gang, it's official: NO-TELL MOTEL has been nominated for Best Solo TTRPG in the @critawards.bsky.social! This is a votin' scenario, so if you're so inclined, drop a vote for your boy (and all other worthy titles) here: bannerless.games/crits

Fuck it, it's 2025 We're re-reading Achewood, who is with me

DRAGON REACTOR Fucking furious at how good this name is. Hooting and hollering at the juxtaposition of evocative concepts.

Round 1 of using the Cairn 2e warden's guide to build out a setting. Feeling good about the 6 factions and map, especially for doing everything in pen. Procedures felt really good with a "roll or choose" approach. Layered well over my own premise. Up next: fleshing out factions and roads.

Is there a generally accepted skirmish wargame that it's really fun to write campaigns and scenarios for? Does wargames have a Mothership?

Anybody else working on a game with a design goal of "this needs to feel right with the shittiest production values I can find"?

Working on a blog post about how to use RPG gods as spy fiction and it turns out mutually assured destruction is a pretty easy hook when you have 5-6 people that can summon volcanos and floods on command

Fun system designer pro tip: did you know that writing adventures means you get to do even more systems design for your system? When you're doing game level system design you can't make a system local to a single building but when you're doing adventure level system design it's no holds barred!

Show me your tanks and other armored vehicles

Emailing my boss an itch code for subway runners as a make good for not having the PowerPoint ready on time

Every once in a while you should make a game with the explicit design goal of seeing what you can get away with.

I'm sure @vidityavoleti.bsky.social is already aware of these new Basic TCG cards but just in case:
