I've tried to explain to them the effects of trumps financial decisions he's making because this isn't the first time! During 2018-2020 he did similar tariff plans and the government ended up having to pay 20 billion to bail out our farmers

They don't remember/belive in 2020 when Trump made a last ditch effort to gain republican support by attacking LGBT protections like LGBT people in the military and spoke about getting rid of marriage equality, they don't care, it doesn't effect them it doesn't matter

My parents are proud Trump supporters, in 2020-2021 when people started calling out his supporters as white supremacists, my parents thought it a funny joke and called themselves proud white supremacists. They have 3 queer children 1 of which is trans and gay

All I really had to mention was brain chip and Elon now I'm watching the spiral. My mom who was for the mass deportation is now seeing they're not deporting these people and is changing her mind about what's going on, I'm at my wits end after fighting almost 10 years. A win is a win in my book.
