If you want a set of eyes on your query letter, feel free to drop me a line! I'd be more than happy to help

Depending on the agent you query, they may want a short and concise pitch or a longer one about 3-4 sentences.
Also, when you query an agent, be sure to use comparative works to show what it's similar to. It doesn't have to be strictly books, it can be movies and video games, too!

It's one or two sentences where you explain the premise of your book. For example, mine was:
"Exiled prince hunts down the leader of an insurgency group for killing his beloved over a decade ago."

Querying as a whole is an arduous process, but doable! Make sure to have a synopsis, elevator pitch, and query letter at the ready depending on what each agent wants. Also remember to take breaks for your mental health π«

I feel the same way, sometimes. It sucks when you feel passed over or skipped, but you matter to the right people π«
