This is the ultimate cost of letting Business Idiots control the media - you orient everything away from the actual product (writing stuff people want) toward making stuff that ranks high, that "goes viral," that "is optimized for social." And it either never works or only does so temporarily

It’s chaotic and and it’ll get worse and worse. My only “news” folks that do this stuff of whom I watch watch are: Phillip De Franco, Hasanabi, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Jon Stewart. Bleak moment but we’ll get through it, just have to find the right person doing the actual job ;(
