The streamer does matter, cause people are just going to watch a person more if they vibe with them. But, as for the content, I think it just needs to be something the streamer is passionate about and clearly enjoying.

Hey, I thought your panel was great and it was a really nice way of closing out Magfest for me. One of my gaming goals for this year is to get into the Atelier series so it was also perfect timing!

Very fucked up. Not sure why we got to a place where people take any less-than-stellar reviews of games they like as personal attacks. That's not just dumb, it's unhealthy.
I love the game, but that doesn't make it a 10/10.

May have to replace the laser in that 70k, but that's a nice find for speedrun purposes!

I'm volunteering at the event so I've seen quite a few runs so far. One of the most impressive has easily been the 2 players 1 controller Breath of the Wild run!

Honestly relatable

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think someone can start now and have a comparable experience to those of us who have been playing. The slow burn and theorycrafting built things up more than is explicitly there in the game. And a large part of the payoff was the collective experience.

I'm also excited to be a first-time volunteer at GDQ (stage tech) so maybe I'll see you there! Hope you have a great 2025!

I hate that I do this all the time.

But are these technologies at a point where they could usher in 2025 as the fabled Year of the Linux Desktop? I would love to be wrong, but not sure it's *quite* there yet.

Desktop Linux has more promise than ever: being on the tail end of the Wayland migration, Flathub becoming its own entity, and the advent of the immutable system + choose-your-own container runtime paradigm are all key events, IMO.

With the widespread distrust and frustration with Windows lately it feels like there's a lot of people looking for an alternative to Windows, but if the expectation is "Windows but not MS", I'm not sure how that will go over.

Had to laugh at the thought of being cremated in an easy bake oven. Yes, I would like my physical remains to be purged from the Earth by a cranked up Lite Brite.

This is an unfortunately complicated situation (that is at least partially on SQEX), but I think the guidelines expressed here are the best way we can handle things as a community.

Berseria is without a doubt my favorite Tales game, and one of my favorite games of all time. Hope you will enjoy it!

Hi! I haven't beaten it yet, since I had to put it down for holiday travel over the weekend, but I'm just under 60h in. Hopefully that number will get bumped up this weekend. I've heard such good things about Trails but the number of games is almost intimidating!

Lingsha has been one of the most fun characters I've pulled. The super break damage is kinda crazy for a sustain.

For anyone curious about what kind of specs you can fit in something this small:
- AMD Ryzen 5700X3D
- AMD Radeon 7900 GRE (heavily modified for size)
- 32GB Crucial Vengeance LP (3600MT/s @ C15)
- 4TB Western Digital SN850X
- Arch Linux, btw.

I did start playing Like A Dragon at some point, just haven't finished it. Would like to get back to it at some point for sure.
