actually, i find it fair to try maintaining decreased prices for students / postdocs and offer a cheaper option for junior PIs. I have to pay the full member rate and i am ok with paying ~USD 60 more now when this helps to increase the attendance of more junior people and attract members 🤷♀️

Fair enough but the information i actually got is that it is cheaper for members (postdoc and student). Since the membership is $80/35/20, i think the non-member rate is redundant

Oh but that is not new either, i had that before 🤔. Not sure it was 35 euros.TBH i had simply expected the meeting to be expensive…didnt think that anything gets any cheaper

I am shocked! Don’t know what to say. About this act of corruptness but also about the individuals situations and am not able express how sorry I feel. Maybe/I hope the scientific community can/will support these people and can do so quickly to help with the uncertainty.

Das ist gar nicht lustig und ich hoffe, dass niemand verletzt wurde (und nicht zu viele wichtige Linien zerstört wirden :-/).
