This was in response to a campaign ad or tweet from last election. It's still as relevant then as it is now. I love Kiefer and if he ever ventured into the world of politics, he would have my unwavering support.

It's a digital sign that scrolls a few messages. But your point is well taken

This just came to me as I read your reply. Perhaps as Canadians on social media can, in some form, ponder how much better the world would be if Kamala Harris Won. To me that's the biggest dig at Trump in my mind, promoting Harris

The Americans I've talked to here, know who we're booing and why. They've not only expressed their support, they are thankful to Canada and Canadians for standing up to tyranny. Dare I say, encouraging them in some respect.

There's merit in what you say.

No problem Jody. With that determination, I have no doubt you'll get it done 😊

It seems to be. Just a reminder, you can get your identity verified in person at a post office.

Sometimes I'm a bit slow in recognizing a jokeπŸ˜… Thanks for clarifying your response.

Let's give this fantasy of annexation a reality check: Road signage replacement alone would cost BILLIONS. Then there's political fallout. 54 Congressional seats 50 Democratic. Not 1 state but 10, 9 of which would be hard blue states. Those are just 2 points of reality. You still want this?

Based on your wording of your reply about learning a different alphabet, I assumed you to be American. With that assumption, I was attempting to add to your reply, the notion of learning a new alphabet wasn't going to happen, by pointing out that Americans resisted learning and converting to metric

It's been a proposed alliance for years. I only became aware of it 3 or 4 years ago. The political will of all 4 nations hasn't moved this forward. Geographic separation is a hindrance to increased trade. The King is a figurehead only. Replacing that is a different conversation.

All in. I'd suggest adding Mexico

True, it's hard enough to get you to learn metric πŸ˜…

I don't get upset by stupidity. That's a lie, stupidity does upset me, because I don't understand it. Tell you what sunshine, there is a better chance of States leaving the union, than Canada joining it.

His spine only showed up once he decided to end his career. The threat of GOP retaliation is meaningless. Therefore his maverick stance is just as meaningless. His country needed him to take a stand during the Senate impeachment hearing, when standing up had meaningful consequences.

First, thank you for serving. Those who serve should be commended. Always. Second, while you would be a valuable asset for CAF, possibly in training recruits, your country needs you more.
comment in response to post
Recruitment is up in large part because our CAF is undermanned. With our current manpower, we wouldn't be able to operate all of our naval vessels simultaneously for example. The drive for recruitment is also fueled to meet NATO spending. Before we buy more equipment, we need people to operate them

I certainly understand the sentiment, given the current geopolitical landscape. Let me propose an alternative. Establish a full CANZUK alliance with only πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡³πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦. Once established, offer free trade agreements with Mexico

Question for you Jessica, how open would you be about a CANZUK alliance?

Need? I don't think we need them. We are geographically connected, making our hydro the only export that can't be sold to anyone else. Our auto industry is too intertwined to uncouple. Everything else can be sold to other markets. Let's not forget, Canada is by far, the USA's largest market.

Unlike US elections, our ballots are hand counted. Electronic interference in the actual counting is negligible. Our electoral districts are drawn out by independent committee to mitigate gerrymandering. The danger is misinformation and disinformation.

Costco not listed, but from what I was able to find out. They get their gas from local refineries and distributors. Costco Canada Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Costco Wholesale Corporation. Take from that what you will. On 1 hand supporting local refineries, on the other, American owned

Lilley's endorsement speaks volumes since he's so consistently a right wing supporter. Gen. Hillier has also been actively promoting either anti establishment or right wing ideologies. Something I find disturbing coming from a former high ranking member of our CAF

Ah ok. Well that seems a little 18th century.

Gonna need some context for this one ?

Not quite. Perhaps a 70/30 split of tv/radio Remember when news anchors only reported news and didn't offer opinions? If they got it wrong, they apologized by saying what they said wrong followed by the correct information. What was that called? Integrity in journalism
